Gingerbread Villages on Display

Thanks for voting! We look forward to finding out your favorites next year!
Looking for some family fun for free this Holiday Season? This fabulous exhibit is one all should add to their list of must-do traditions.
Pack the family into the van and head down to the Seattle Sheraton Lobby to see the 16th Annual Gingerbread Village Display. Seattle architects and Sheraton chefs teamed together to create this magical display of confectionary treats in Superhero Kingdoms!
If not 100 percent edible, the structures are nearly all edible. As you take a closer look, you'll see all the yummy ingredients used to construct these amazing structures.
This year's theme is "A Superhero Holiday," and proceeds raised through this event go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, an appropriate and worthy cause.
While we were visiting, we were entertained by a sideshow of young children awed by the displays. One young toddler came dressed appropriately, in his own Batman costume.
What Fun!
On Display till January 4
The Gingerbread Village will remain on display through January 4, but we recommend that you visit as soon as you can because...well...the gingerbread can tend to "age" over time. If you can't make it down earlier, it's still worth the trip.
Vote for your Favorite!
Photos we posted aren't nearly as fun as seeing the display in person, and it's hard to convey the structural feats some of these villages have accomplished. Whether you're able to visit the display or not, be sure to vote for your favorite online!
Watch for the final results!
