Choose Renton Gears Up

As the election season begins to heat up, local area groups passionate about the future of Fairwood are also organizing their own political activities.

Choose Renton is a group of Fairwood residents that are proponents for annexation of Fairwood into the City of Renton. With that focus, it also means that they are opposed to the incorporation of Fairwood as a city.

According to spokesperson Bryce Nelson, their purpose is two-fold. "We have sort of a dual mission - advocate for annexation and oppose incorporation, but really, those are just two sides of the same coin."

"We want to be part of a financially stable and viable city that will be able to provide the services we need. That won't happen by remaining a part of King County, or by incorporating as a City of Fairwood," said Nelson.
