Sheriff's deputies and detectives are looking for a man who broke into his ex-girl friend’s house this morning and attacked her with a hammer. Then he stole her car. The woman is 41 years old.
Deputies were called to the scene in the 13700 block of 134th Ave NE outside of Kirkland about 3:30 AM this morning (October 12th). Two different neighbors of the victim called 9-1-1 after they heard her screaming for help. |
The victim was asleep in her bedroom when she was attacked with the hammer. She suffered several injuries and was taken to Evergreen Medical Center by fire personnel.
The woman’s 14 year-old daughter was at home at the time of the attack. Both she and the victim recognized the assailant.
The suspect got into the house through the garage.
When deputies arrived the suspect was gone, along with the victim’s car. He is a 33 years old, African American and 5’ 5’’ tall, about 185 lbs.
Sheriff's detectives have probable cause to arrest Milord Gelin, age 33, for Domestic Violence Felony Assault, and therefore, have released his photo.
If anyone sees the car or knows the whereabouts of the suspect, they are asked to call the King County Sheriff's Office at (206) 296-3311 or 9-1-1.
