Covington Man Killed in Overnight Car Crash

A 48 year-old Covington man was seriously injured last night when his car went off the road and struck a tree.  He was taken to Harborview Medical Center but died shortly thereafter.

The accident occurred in the 17800 block of SE Covington-Sawyer Road in unincorporated King County at about 11:10 PM.  The man was driving a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder and was alone in the car. 

King County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating the accident and believe speed may have been a contributing factor.
