Anthony Le, senior at Lindbergh High School, was selected as the Lindbergh Rotary Youth of the Month.
Nguyen holds a 3.7 G.P.A. and is a member of Key Club, International Club, and is Secretary for Medical Explorers. He is also the National Honor Society Vice President.
Actively involved in Varsity Soccer, Le received Student of the Month Awards, Seamount League Academic Achievement Awards, and Lindbergh's High Top Ten Junior Award.
Le works part time at Joe's Sporting Goods as an Associate and volunteers with the International Housing Alliance as an interpreter for the elderly as well as working as an assistant.
College plans include attending the University of Washington to pursue a career as a Bio-Engineer.
Rotary members recognize three Renton School District high school students each month as Youth of the Month.
After being selected by counselors at each of the district’s three high schools, a selection committee of Rotary members reviews applications and interviews students to identify those who will be selected as Youth of the Month.
The award is given to students who possess leadership abilities, maintain a good grade point average, participate in school activities and volunteer in their community.
The students and their parents are honored guests at a regular Rotary luncheon.
