Local Group Targets Ambitious Goal,
Fundraiser Set for Off-Leash Dog Park

Becker said the group of volunteers is planning another fundraiser similar to the Wags 'n Wine event for June, with the date to be confirmed. The next event named "Pups & Pubs" will be at the Dog & Pony Alehouse and Grill in Renton.

Major fundraising activities will be incorporated with smaller events, including placing spare change bottles in area stores for donations and appearances at local events to drum up funds. Look for RUFF tables at events such as the Taste of Renton 5K Fun Run and the upcoming Renton Farmers Market.

"We're hoping to raise between $8-10,000 for the two events, and then we hope the donations will kick in," said Becker.

Volunteer Information
RUFF is looking for volunteers to assist at the event for crowd control, busing tables, washing dishes and supporting the Vino staff for the first fundraiser. To volunteer, contact RUFF at rentonoffleash@gmail.com.

"We are in great need for more volunteers and more money," said Becker.
