Belize Summer Mission Trip Approaches
Rummage Sale, Babysitting, Fundraising
Fills Schedule for Group

Fairwood United Methodist Church will be a busy destination point for bargain hunters this weekend. It's all a part of a full schedule of fundraising activities
planned to raise necessary funds for this Youth Group for an upcoming Mission Trip
to Belize in June.
Friday and Saturday, May 1-2, shoppers can find bikes, books, clothes, crafts and almost anything else under the sun (or clouds) at the group Rummage Sale at the church. Most of the good are housed in the church's multi-purpose room, but some items such as picnic tables and weather-proof items are just outside the building.
This is not the group's first fundraiser, nor will it be the last. Last weekend, teens turned out for a car wash at Sam's Club, and before that, they put on a game and comedy show, bringing in professional comedian Michael Jenkins in March.
Student spokesperson Rhianna Wallace said the number of fundraisers is varied. "Some of the fundraisers that we are planning on doing is several car washes, yard work, Parents Night Out (large group babysitting at the church once a month), Cafe Belize (selling lattes at church), odd jobs, a garage sale (fairwood greens garage sale the first weekend in May," said Wallace.
The next fundraiser is a Parents Night Out Babysitting Fundraiser, set for Saturday, May 16 from 6-11:30 pm. Parents can take a break from the kids and the kids can have fun in a large group setting.
