Black Diamond Man Arrested for Homicide
Death by Abuse

A 41 year-old Black Diamond man was arrested by Sheriff's detectives last night for Homicide by Abuse.  His 88 year-old mother was found dead in their home in the 27400 block of the SE Green River Gorge Road on Tuesday, June 16.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the home about 1:00 AM on Tuesday after the man called to say his mother had died.  Deputies found the woman in her bed but she was severely emaciated and about 70 lbs.  She had extremely severe open bed sores and bruising. 

The son said his mother was not taking any medicines and had not seen a doctor in at least two years.

The Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit was called to the house to conduct the investigation.   The suspect was re-interviewed last night and booked into the King County Jail about 8:00 PM. 

An autopsy was conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office yesterday.
