Twelve Lindbergh High School students labeled as "extraordinary" were recognized as Outstanding Seniors by Renton School Board members at a May 27 meeting.

Lindbergh High principal Tres Genger introduced the 12 students as an exceptionally talented group of young people who have received numerous individual honors, succeed in the classroom, served their community and represented Lindbergh High School with poise and honor.

Students were selected based on their academic achievement, leadership, co-curricular involvement, citizenship and character, community service and contributions to their classmates and school.

Students spoke briefly during the presentation about what made them successful in school and motivated them in their personal life. They recognized their parents in attendance, acknowledged friendships with other students, and honored teachers and others as “Most Inspirational.”

In addition to students, Teacher and other supportive people were also recognized by Lindbergh students. Those 12 include Alebachew Aderajew, Melody Blackwood, Dianne Nichols, Carrie Wong, Isaiah Anderson Jr., Bill McEwen, Robert Nicholson, Kane Yee, Barbara Beers, Claudia Miller, Debbie Rice, and Amarou Yoder.
