Under the direction of Playwright, Director and Teacher Harvey Sadis, the Cascade Shakespeare Players put on their final production the end of May, celebrating the life and works of William Shakespeare under this educator's direction.

The Glovers Son portrays the life of Shakespeare, weaving together lines from some of his most popular plays including A Midsummer Night's Dream, MacBeth, and Romeo and Juliet.

Over 35 thespians committed to hours of rehearsals, to endless lines of memorization, and to donning beautiful costumes. It all culminated in a full production day, where the school convergered at Renton High School's IKEA Performing Arts Center to watch their friends perform this final original play.

So all could enjoy the hard work, the troupe performed for the school in the morning and provided a second performance in the evening for families.

The Glover's son is the last public school play production for Sadis. For more than 20 years, he has taken Shakespeare's plays and made them the passio of his teaching life, according to Sadis.

"Harvey Sadis has been putting on Shakespeare plays with Cascade Second Graders for the past seven years.  He does a wonderful job of exposing students to things they have not experienced before.  Students do an amazing job of learning their lines and acting out their parts.  WOW!" said Cascade Principal, Shannon Harvey.
