Fairwood Community News Adds Twitter
for Instant Updates, Roving Reporters

Thanks to the urgings of one of our faithful readers, we've moved into the next dimension of keeping all of us connected! Check out our page, Fairwood News, on Twitter!

Fairwood resident Mark Burchardt suggested that Fairwood Community News consider adding this feature, incorporating Twitter in a similar fashion to a West Seattle website.

Burchardt offered the following suggestions:

"...they have people that are allowed to log in, 4 or five through the community that are allowed to update their "tweets"..That way the news is constant and not null at certain hours. For instance, 4-5 people that are all 9-5 people don't need to tweet about Fairwood. No one would be awake if something happened at night and the rest of us night owls wanted to know with the Sheriff Helicopter was flying over the park or something. Etc. So they have a few people with the twitter password to their twitter account and they can all access it from their blackberry, iphone, or just their pc/mac and update news or little tidbits if they see something or news breaks. Some things are silly (like if you're on the ferry, it's late right now) or something..Others important. But you get the point. Fairwood is full of people that would love that stuff. Diverse enough area for sure.Again, just a thought. :) Thanks!"

We like that idea - any interested in joining the greater FCN Network?
